MISSING YOU

It's been a rough few weeks... I'm glad to have my friends. Unfortunately, most of my BEST friends live in other states. I'm glad to have FB and texting!

I've been knocking this around in my head for a while....here's Missing You.

I'll have to come back with some examples.... I am so freaking late all the time that my CT hasn't had time to play with it! I believe I can knock some layouts out tomorrow.

I've been without internet last night and alllllll day...so I'm frantically trying to catch up. They're working on the street down the block from me and keep hitting something that takes out my entire block's cable. FUN.

And speaking of layouts, I stumbled across this chick at DST and fell IN LOVE with her gallery. Oh man...so the next day I went to figure out who this scrap star was...and it turns out that it's Sandra, or you may recognize her as Chengie! Where in the world have I been? This is what happens when I neglect my scrapping! LOL It seems that I've seen her name around and didn't put two and two together that it was her. Anyway.... she's incredibly talented and I plan on lifting her entire gallery! hehe

I just had to give a little shout out to her! :)

Alright, it's past 2 am and I need to get some sleep! Peace out suckahs. Errr...I mean, have a lovely evening!

There, I said it. I don't know WHY I'm like this....there are so many amazing ones to choose from. I also see everyone ROCKING them out. Lately, I've been trying to get back into doing challenges and scrapbooking more. Then, I notice a lot of them involve templates! LOL But, I've sucked it up and really tried....I'm just never really happy with the outcome. Maybe I'm just stuck in my old school style of scrapping and I haven't moved into current trends! ;) Either way, I've been really trying. I'm going to go on a hunt for the perfect templates today...that way when I have to do another template challenge I actually have a go to file!

I do have to say... I cheated this week. I used a qp! hehe I saw these SUPER cute ones for only $2!!! They're Holly Designs... I was picking up her Halloween kit and couldn't pass them up. Now, with the Halloween ones I did last week, for the first time in YEARS I'm actually finished scrapping a Holiday/event only weeks after it occurred!

I also need to admit that I'm addicted to the font Justy and I can't stop using it. I need to find another font pronto before EVERY layout in my album has it on there. LOL

And....I finished my Girl vs Scrap layout early. Um, it also has Justy for the journaling! LOL See, I need HELP people!!!

I used Daredevil and a template from Lauren Reid's 1st Day pack.

Ok, I HAVE to get this project finished.... I've been working on it for 2 days now. Just can't seem to catch that flow. Would probably help if I'd quit scrapbook SHOPPING and get into ps. ;)

Busy Weekend!

Well, spent yesterday at Mr. Noda's speed meet.... it wasn't the best. But, he has impoved so much since last year. I can't really complain about anything.... he's shaved 2 seconds just since Nationals! He spent most of the day either disappointed in himself or nervous about the next race. After it was over he was able to just kick back and visit with some of his Colorado friends that he hasn't seen in months.

Our next meet is in Waco, Texas over Thanksgiving.... not too sure if Pud and I are going to head down there with them this time though. We'll see. She's SO crabby the entire time because she's BOOOOOOORED and SLEEEEEPY and any other thing she can come up with. She only perks up when she's handed some quarters to take off to the arcade with! LOL

Ok, finally squeezed in some scrap time! I want to have enough ready to print for Christmas... the countdown is ON folks!!!

Well, I came to do my official post and discovered I didn't finish my previous post. LOL Oh well, we all have TONS going on this weekend! I'll just post a few previews and then... I'm going to hit my FB fan page and start sending out coupons! :)

Her name is Suzy....or Rat-baby. ;)

She's not the prettiest of puppies. She was the runt, her hair hasn't grown in all the way, and she's definitely not soft and snuggy....but I SO love this little thing. The big problem with her is that she doesn't like to be alone. She doesn't want to eat alone, sit alone or even sleep alone. I'm trying to catch up on a ton of stuff today and she's crying and clawing at my leg to pick her up. I pick her up for a sec....give her some love and try to put her down and she GRUNTS, gives me a dirty look, and then goes right back to clawing and crying. She's making me crazy. I just put her outside for a bit so I can FOCUS.

I've been sorta grumpy for a bit...I have a lot of things I have to accomplish and when I get in those moods I just want to crawl in a hole. Which makes the work pile up even more.... yes, you'd think I would have worked that out before now. BUT, at least I can snap out of it now. The weather is beautiful and both the kiddos are healthy again. THANKFULLY. We're doing MUCH better this year... I'm impressed. I don't know if it's the change in lifestyle or just a stronger immune system after being exposed for so many years now. LOL I'll take credit though. ;)

John wanted some pics of his truck this weekend so we went downtown and snagged some really cool shots... well, cool for US. hehe I grabbed a few of the kiddos too... we mostly just goofed off for a bit and watched some trains go by. It was nice.... of course, boys will be boys.

John has lost about 40 lbs and his body has changed so much with his workout routine (2-3 hours a day). I really wish I could find the motivation he has. LOL He needs to buy some new clothes though....I didn't know how baggy his were getting until I was editing.

I snagged this sweet one too....love the train in front of them.

Ok, I've killed enough time.... I have to let the princess back in and go snag my babies.

Oh, and I didn't put my new stuff up.... again. LOL

My husband has taken pity on me and hauled the twins off to a car club thing. I've never officially been to one of those car meetings but I imagine it's sorta boring for Abs and Noah's climbing over everyone's vehicles. BUT... I do know that it means SILENCE for me. ;)

I made a new school kit...naturally. I haven't had time to really scrap their first day but I do plan on getting around to it. I managed to do one of Noders with his wrestling backpack.

I have to get some scrapping finished... I want to try to do all the Challenges every month at Mscraps. I believe I've managed 2 a month so far! Pretty sad. I spend more time editing my photos lately than I do scrapbooking them. I'm seriously obsessed with actions. I bought a bunch from M4Hens and I'm going to snag them from Florabella too. I must run each pic through 4 or 5 before settling on one or two looks to print. My husband thinks I'm nuts. With each new photo I imagine how it's going to look with Little Rainbow slapped on it. LOL

I also think that when you aren't the best photographer these little things SAVE you. Where would I be if I were still rocking the disposables and dropping them at Wal-Greens without editing. SCARY. I'm sure you have your own saves but this is one of my faves of Noder.

Scrapping

It's how it all started yet it's the first thing I let slide. Shameful. So, I spent the day (and night) scrapping...it's been SO nice. Of course, I had an accident an hour into one of them... I can't seem to stop myself from shutting down ps in the middle of things. That's how I get my heart rate up...I'm like a dare-devil or something- can I finish a page before I sabotage myself? LOL

My kids are home from Chicago. I REALLY missed them this time... it's getting worse instead of better. Makes no sense. I believe that it's because they're turning into great little chit-chatters. I didn't realize how much I really depend on them for convo during the day! To fulfill my chat quota I had to resort to calling friends from 1982 and talking their ears off! ;) Anyway, it took a single day before I was dreaming about that school bell ringing! I swear, I believe that homeschool Mommies are seriously angels or something. I NEED my days back. LOL

Ok, I HAVE to get some laundry finished so I can pack up my kids. They're heading off to Chicago to visit with Grandma for 2 weeks!!! I know I'll miss them but I could REALLY use the peace and quiet for a few days. I'm sure you understand! After losing my little brother and sister it's very important for me that my kids KNOW my Mom. I didn't make family enough of a priority and now it's just too late. I'll always regret that.

Check this out... I'm blogging again! LOL

I'm up waiting to wake up the hubs. He's going in early and I'm supposed to make sure he gets up...because 2 alarms and a cell phone aren't enough to ensure an early rise out him!

So, I've finished up the next installation of the MScraps August collab...and worked on getting myself caught up on Big Brother. I won't go into my obsession with BB here...but just know, it's not pretty and I'm not proud. Fortunately, in this day and age you can find some chicks to dish on ANYthing with ya. Holla to my 2peas BBFF! ;)

I haven't scavenged my EHD's for a freebie today...but I do have a sneak peek of something new coming out Friday at Mscraps. Who knows, keep an eye peeled and ya just may find a great coupon here on release day!

First of all, do you know how your kids like to jibber jabber either in the car or *gasp* when you're trying to actually pay attention to your friend on the phone...hehe Well, lately I've noticed that my daughter is SERIOUSLY into telling me all her innermost thoughts. It's freaking HILARIOUS! The things that fall out of her mouth keep me laughing. I had to do something special to scrapbook some of them. SO, here's a little sneak of what I came up with.....

Am I blog-slacker or what! LOL I've started a new schedule so hopefully, I can keep up with everything. The kids are home for the summer so I don't have to be up so early the morning. I can work in the evenings when they're sacked out. I LOVE it!

I spotted this sign the other day and decided to see if it was still there.... it was! Unfortunately, the fence was still locked and no one was in the office. I'm hoping they're gone because of the cold and will be back this weekend. I REALLY want this sign...it's so perfectly shabby! I had to settle for a photo of my little prisoner.... hopefully it'll be free soon! ;)

On the scrap front, I've finished the kit! The alpha was a pain but it fits perfectly and I can't wait to see this one in action. I'm going to have to find some "paper scrappy" digi girls to rock it for me. I'll be on the lookout very soon! :) I'll be back tomorrow with Day 9.

It's COLD....and that means I'm not actually WALKING around looking for something interesting to take a picture of. LOL But I drive under this big tree everyday and decided that it was worth a try. I parked underneath it and put back the sunroof... PERFECT!

Thank goodness for Gemma Clarke... I would have never thought about this old tree if I wasn't in love with her photos with them. :)

Working today...hopefully I can finish getting everything on the blog and then wrap up a few kits I'm playing with. I have a lot of repackaging to do. Just time suckage folks! Of course, this means I'm not doing laundry and any day without laundry duty is a GREAT day (even if it's 6 degrees)!

I shouldn't have waited so late to post yesterday. We had a storm that messed up my block's Internet and Cable...things are fixed this morning so I'm catching up.
Here's John's truck sitting at his work. I don't love that all his vehicles are EARLY 60's but I have to deal with it..hehe I love the color of this one though....it's a rusty red that I'm going to miss when he gets around to fixing this one up.

I have to brave the 6 degree weather to find something to snap today.... may end up with a child pic. LOL

A few new things......
I joined Shelly's 365 group on Facebook and have made it 5 entire days!!! LOL Like I said, I'm really going to do this. I may have to use a blackberry for my camera some days but that's ok!
Here's my catch up for the blog.... (they're on fb daily).

Next, is that I'm not "retired" any longer. Well, I wasn't RETIRED but I wasn't able to design for a LONG time. So long that no one remembers me...hehe But, I'm setting up shop at a new place and I'm so excited. It's been too long. The site doesn't officially open until the 20th so I won't start parading the new stuff until then. I have some things that I'm really exited about though! :)

Did I tell you I was EXCITED?..... I think that's my new theme word.

It's NOVEMBER! One more month until I'm off to Illinois for our first family Christmas in a long time. In the meantime I'm just shopping and trying to keep everyone well. Neither of them is an easy task...LOL

Haven't really scrapped in a bit but working on some designs... loving the idea of this one. Mostly made it to scrap some pics of Abby in my favorite dress of hers.

Just stopped by to knock the dust off. Does anyone really do blogs anymore? Seems like anything of worth is put into status updates on Facebook! ;)

I need another scanner! I'm tired of fighting with technology. I need to get on it's good side..hehe
I'm scrapping again. I'm going to try some challenges and see if I can get the motors roaring. Here's a bit of a hybrid layout... I made it paper with digital elements, then scanned it and added more digi. SUPER fun. Must do more tomorrow! ;)
Audrey has a great challenge on her blog. The challenge is to use elements filled with text. I decided to do a circle frame but did it half off my page. Gotta mix it up! Not as clear of a scan as I'd like but I gave up after 4 scans..hehe

I can't believe the news about David Carradine. So sad... I hope his wife finds the answers she's looking for. I'm watching Larry King and no one seems to believe he'd really do it but if I've learned one thing over the past few years it's that you just NEVER know what's going on in someone's head.

Today was such a great day with the kids though. We played Wii until my arms gave out and then we invented goodies in the kitchen. I'm hopeful that our chocolate/peanut butter fudge popsicles really freeze up. ;)

They're so big now... I can't believe they're actually 7! It seems like it's only been a few years. I don't know... I can't imagine me without them. (I know we all feel like that..hehe)

We made goodies for their class this year. Instead of doing cupcakes for both the party and their class party we did chocolate covered pretzels for their classes. SO cute. I did the same sprinkles on Noah's double Chocolate cupcakes.....They turned out really cute. They looked yummy anyway! Abby's were pink and teal with big rings on top. I can't find my picture tonight... I had to take them as I was walking out the door.

Here's a pic of the big ol' kids. I think this year will be the last "twin" birthday. She really wanted a Littlest Pet Shop party and he wanted Pirate but there just wasn't a way to work that into the skating rink section. Oh well... we had a blast anyway! Have a great night... tomorrow is FRIDAY! :)

The kiddo's are having some summery fun....

Nothing new to post yet. Just trying to get used to checking in. Today has been pretty busy. Our roof is being worked on right now so all I hear is hammering. The puppy just LOVES this. He's been yapping at them all day. He's lucky he's so cute.

I can't get my photos to go where I want them in here. They keep sticking them at the top of the post no matter where I have the cursor..hmmmm

I feel like a duck out of water with all of this stuff. Hopefully things will come back to me.

Figuring this thing out.
